The Customer Analytics intern will join a team of analytics professionals within the Consumer Analytics group of the Retail Marketing department. Our team engages with various departments to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and other programs at connecting with our customers and delivering desired business results. We manage these projects from start to finish, identifying analytic research questions, crafting and executing analytic plans, then aggregating and sharing insights. This end-to-end approach is highly customized, and ensures that our insights speak directly to the strategic questions asked by our internal clients (in the merchandising, promotional marketing, pharmacy marketing, store operations and design departments). We are looking for smart, agile, and motivated individuals to help us conceptualize and execute these projects and join in the fun.
By choosing the Customer Analytics department as an internship assignment you will gain exposure into a variety of state-of-the-art analytic techniques employed by a successful, data-driven organization.
As an intern you will:
- Participate in each stage of the analytic process so you can observe the full analytic experience at work
- Learn the mechanics of test and control measurement behind a roll-out decision, experience data mining within the largest customer loyalty program in retail (90MM+ active customer and 7,700+ retail locations), and participate in the development of reports shared with senior management
- Be exposed to a potential network of 100+ analytic professionals and the opportunity to develop a formal mentor relationship which you can carry forward in your education and career.
*Availability to work full time for duration of the 10 week program.
*Undergrad degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science or related field
*Enrolled in graduate program for an Analytics concentration
* Experience in data analytics, marketing analytics, customer behavior, relational database mining using SAS, SPSS, or SQL from either classroom or prior work assignments
*Highly-motivated candidate with above-average attention to detail, communication skills, and professionalism
*Ability to travel to Woonsocket RI for work
*Experience in predictive analytics and segmentation using SAS Enterprise Miner in either classroom or prior work assignment
*Experience in using Tableau for data visualization projects in either classroom or prior work assignment
*Candidates must be enrolled in a Masters non-MBA program, with final year beginning in Fall 2018
